American Airlines adds new service from Philadelphia to Dominican Republic

Dreaming of a tropical getaway? American Airlines announced new service from Philadelphia (PHL) to Santiago, Dominican Republic (STI).
Flights to Santiago will take off from Philadelphia four times a week starting May 21, 2026. Officials said the flight will be available nonstop from Philadelphia
for the first time since 2022.
The airline also announced that it is expanding service from Philadelphia to Santo Domingo (SDQ), restarting its daily seasonal flights to Santo Domingo in May, a month earlier than previously planned.
“As Philadelphia’s Hometown Airline, we take pride in the robust international service we provide for PHL customers to popular destinations around the world— and we know the Caribbean is a sought-after getaway for summer vacation,” said American Airlines Vice President of PHL Operations Lakshman Amaranayaka. “We look forward to serving our customers this summer, whether they plan to take advantage of the world-class beaches, culture and adventure of the Dominican Republic or any of the 120 destinations we offer direct from PHL.”
