SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- A San Francisco jury convicted a man of domestic violence and repeatedly violating a restraining order, prosecutors announced Friday. Following a trial, 44-year-old Mickey Rivera-Ortega was found guilty of domestic violence, assault, drug possession, and multiple violation s of court orders.  District Attorney Brooke Jenkins said, "My office stands by victims and survivors of domestic violence and will do everything we can to get justice in the courtroom and to support their healing from the trauma they have endured." On November 3, 2025, the victim’s relatives heard a disturbance and found the victim alone and injured with Rivera-Ortega.  Days later, San Francisco police officers found and arrested Rivera-Ortega. A criminal protective order was issued prohibiting him from coming within 100 yards of the victim. He violated the protective order, appearing near the victim’s residence multiple times, prosecutors said.
