CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — One person died and two others were hurt, including the deputy chief of the Frankfort Police Department, following a crash early Friday morning in Clinton County. The Indiana State Police say the crash happened around 4:50 a.m. on State Road 39, just south of County Road 650 South. A driver in a 2025 Chevy Malibu was going southbound when it tried to pass another vehicle. That is where the Malibu crashed into a Chevy Tahoe driven by Chief Deputy Cesar Munoz. The driver of the Malibu later died in a hospital. Munoz and the passenger of the Malibu were taken to a hospital in Lafayette for treatment. They were in stable condition as of Friday afternoon.
