Lincoln Police cruiser. (Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Mar. 4)–A 27-year-old Lincoln man is accused of vandalizing three churches in the area around downtown Lincoln in the past week. Lincoln Police Public information manager Erika Thomas says they arrested Nigel Cummings on Saturday night, after he caused about $20,000 worth of damage to First Christian Church off of 16th and “K” Street, about $1,000 damage to the “F” Street Church at 13th and “F” and about $500 to a truck.  He was also cited for criminal mischief in the vandalism at Trinity Lutheran Church on 12th and “H” Street that left $4,000 in damage. In the First Christian Church incident, Thomas says two exterior stained glass mural windows were smashed, and the front door was broken.  It was video taken from a security system at “F” Street that ultimately led to Cummings arrest around 8pm Saturday.
