On Tuesday at 12:06 a.m. an updated winter weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service valid from 9 a.m. until Wednesday 3 a.m. for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Greene and Ulster counties."Wintry mix precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations 0. 5 to 2.5 inches with locally up to 3 to 3.5 inches along the foothills of the southern Adirondacks. Ice accumulations from a glaze to around one tenth of an inch," adds the weather service. "Light snow overspread the region this morning from south to north, before mixing with sleet and freezing rain late this afternoon into this evening.
