(KRON) -- The Golden State Warriors aren't making too many positive headlines lately, going a mediocre 4-6 in their last 10 games, all without an injured Stephen Curry. Still, despite a pedestrian year on the court, the lore of the Warriors' decade-long dynasty permeates through pop culture. K-po p megastars Blackpink released their first project in four years on Friday. On the five-track "Deadline" extended play, "Me and My" has a line that namedrops Warriors forward Draymond Green. "Golden like we Draymond, they pay us for a walk-in," Lisa raps in the song's second verse. Songwriting credits for "Me and My" went to Vaughn Oliver, Tobias Wincorn, Lukasz Gottwald, Theron Thomas, Rocco Valdes and Jelli, according to Apple Music. Wincorn might be the culprit for the name-dropping of Green in Blackpink's song. The songwriter is from Oakland, according to music production agency Pink Shark Music. Maybe Wincorn is a Warriors fan and let his fandom reveal itself in "Me and My." It's much rarer for a rapper/artist to have Green in a lyric, compared to Curry. Dozens of songs have referenced the sharpshooter since Curry's decade-plus as a household name -- not so much for his 2017 Defensive Player of the Year teammate. Recently, Blackpink became the first artist to reach 100 million subscribers on YouTube, boasting nine videos with at least 1 billion views. Green turns 36 on Wednesday, March 4. Curry turns 38 years old 10 days later on March 14. They are the last players remaining on all four Warriors' championship runs. The Warriors currently sit in eighth place in the Western Conference and host the Los Angeles Clippers next on Monday. ...read more read less
