(File photo by Jeff Motz/KFOR Sports)LINCOLN–(KFOR Feb. 28)–The Nebraska School Activities Association on Saturday released the pairings for the Girls State Basketball Tournament, Mar. 4 through Mar. 7 in Lincoln. In Class A, the top-seed Lincoln North Star will open up tournament play Wednesday at 1:30pm against No. 8 Millard North, while No. 7 seed Lincoln Southwest squares off with No. 2 Kearney Wednesday at 6pm.  Both games will be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The Class B bracket will get underway Thursday at 1:30pm, with Norris as the top-seed taking on No. 8 Blair and Lincoln Pius X is the No. 3 seed and will play No. 6 Beatrice Thursday at 7:45pm.  Class B tournament games will all be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena all the way through the tournament. In Class C1, two-time defending state champion Lincoln Christian is the No. 2 seed will play Thursday at 1:30pm in the quarterfinal against No. 7 Fort Calhoun, while at 3:15pm, it will be No. 3 Malcolm taking on No. 6 Holdrege.  Opening round games in Class C1 will be played at the Devaney Sports Center. Semifinal games in all six classes will be played Friday at PBA and the Devaney Center, with Championship Saturday games to be played at PBA.
