(KRON) -- A suspect accused of driving under the influence crashed their SUV into a San Mateo home's swimming pool on Thursday night, according to police. No injuries were reported. Alleged South Bay postal thieves found with over 1,500 pieces of stolen mail "Last night, our officers responded to wh at we can only describe as an unexpected pool party. Unfortunately, the guest of honor arrived uninvited…and in a vehicle," said the San Mateo Police Department said a in a social media post on Friday afternoon. "Through quick investigation, our officers located the suspect vehicle resting peacefully in a resident’s backyard swimming pool after first taking out a section of fence. The driver, who has not yet been identified, was safely taken into custody and faces multiple charges, including DUI and hit and run, said SMPD. SMPD did not disclose the estimated total value of damage from the crash.
