H.S. Girls Basketball Wrap: Princeton wins 20th, advances in Central Jersey Group IV Tournament

PRINCETON — Behind 20 points from Anna Winters, 19 points from Katie Sharkey and 10 more from Chloe Hunt, the sixth-seeded Princeton High varsity girls’ basketball team rolled past 11th-seeded Old Bridge, 66-39, Tuesday in the first round of the NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV Tournament.
With th
eir 20th win, the Tigers advance to play at third-seeded Hillsborough (19-6) Saturday. In that game, Sharkey will go for 1,000 career points. She needs two points to reach the magic mark.
