The upcoming Fiesta San Antonio may be 135 years old, but for Pullman Market, it’s an excuse to relive the late ‘90s. The Pearl showpiece will host its inaugural ¡Pachanga at Pullman! On April 18, featuring two pop-punk superstars, Eve 6 and Fastball.Though the pachanga is less conjunto and mor e CD flipbook, it does have a connection to puro culture. The event, organized in collaboration with Stable Hall, will raise funds for the Rey Feo Scholarship Fund, which provides financial aid to local high school seniors.For those too young to remember (or were too busy moping to Belle Sebastian at the time), Eve 6 is a Southern Californian band that quickly rose to fame through hit singles "Inside Out" and "Here's to the Night.” Although a new lineup briefly performed under the name, the original trio reunited in 2011 and has recorded new music as recently as 2024.Fastball formed more closely to home, calling itself Magneto U.S.A. during its first Austin gigs. Its 1998 album, All the Pain Money Can Buy, reached platinum sales within six months, spawning smashes like "The Way" and "Out of My Head." Like Eve 6, the band is still making music, self-funding production through Patreon.Since Pullman is a market, guests can also expect some special culinary guests. A release says that participating restaurants — plus a slate of new programming — will be announced at a later date. ¡Pachanga at Pullman! will be held between noon and 5 pm on Saturday, April 18, giving guests the chance to check out Fiesta de los Reyes at Market Square the same night.
