(Jeff Motz/KFOR News)LINCOLN–(KFOR Feb. 24)–Fire investigators late Tuesday afternoon released the cause of a fire that burned part of a railroad bridge that led to a collapse early Monday morning west of downtown Lincoln. Lincoln Fire and Rescue sent out a text alert to KFOR News and other media, indicating the cause was an “unattended campfire.”  The fire was called in around 3:45am Monday, with a bridge that carries the Union Pacific rail line burning along Salt Creek east of Sun Valley Boulevard, not far from Haymarket Park and the Breslow Ice Center. There were no reports of injuries and damage estimates have not yet been released, but LFR considered it a total loss.
