DANVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man is facing multiple charges after Danville police say buildings and dorms were unlawfully entered and a vehicle was stolen during an investigation on the Centre College campus. According to the Danville Police Department, officers were called Friday night t o investigate suspicious activity on campus. Police say officers worked alongside Centre College Public Safety and determined that someone had entered several buildings and residence halls without permission and taken a vehicle. Investigators later identified 24-year-old Robert Baker as the suspect. Police say Baker was located and arrested without incident. He is charged with second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking, and theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile valued at more than $10,000 but less than $1 million. Officials say the allegedly stolen vehicle has since been recovered and returned to its owner. Baker is currently being held in the Boyle County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond. The investigation remains ongoing.
