Canada edged Czechia in the quarterfinals with a 4-3 overtime win and then erased a two-goal deficit in their 3-2 semifinal win over defending champion Finland. The U.S defeated Sweden 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Quinn Hughes’ overtime goal and dominated Slovakia 6-2 in the semifinals.
