Irvine’s Summer Nature Camp – a camp for curious kids!
Does your child ask “why”? Do they love to explore, observe animals, create and discover? Do they enjoy playing outside and aren’t bothered by a little mud? Irvine Nature Center’s Summer Nature Camp is designed for them!
S
ummer Nature Camp offers curious children an immersive outdoor experience, connecting them with the natural world through hiking, exploration, and endless summer fun. Set across Irvine’s 211 acres of forests, meadows, and wetlands, campers engage all their senses learning about the natural world and conservation topics.
Each weeklong session, led by professional educators and naturalists, takes place almost entirely outdoors and features a unique, creative theme—making it exciting to return week after week. Campers enjoy creative arts, on-trail investigations, animal encounters, and free play. Irvine’s 50+ resident Animal Ambassadors are always a highlight.
Irvine’s Summer Nature Camp runs June 15–August 21, 2026. Full-day camps for ages 5–12 run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Half-day Saplings Camp is available for ages 3–4, and Little Birds Summer Camp welcomes children under 3 with a caregiver. Optional before- and after-care is available.
Teens ages 13–16 can apply for the Counselor-in-Training program to build leadership skills while staying connected to camp.
