Fastrising SF matcha spot opening another location in city

(KRON) -- Tadaima first opened in San Francisco's Mission District in the summer of 2024. In its brief time as a business, Tadaima's offerings -- most notably its matcha -- have been a hit, and the cafe is now expanding with its third location in San Francisco.

n Sunday, Feb. 22 in the Sunset District, the business announced on Instagram. The soft opening is from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., then continues on Monday and Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The soft opening will have a 15% off sale on "everything." Tadaima said there is a "little surprise" that awaits.

Tadaima takes over the space previously occupied by Sunset Subs, which permanently shut down last year, according to Yelp.
In less than two years since its opening in San Francisco, Tadaima has opened two locations: 1849 Union St. (Marina) and 3515 20th St. (Mission). The cafe has gained a social media fanbase of more than 9,000 Instagram followers.
According to the cafe's social media, Tadaima means "I'm back home in Japanese," emphasizing the priority to make Japanese home-cooked comfort food. Besides matcha, Tadaima also offers coffee, "Sandos," musbi and other Japanese dishes.
