Feb 18, 2026 morning forecast with Tara Hastings INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Warm and windy today with record high temperatures near 70. We will see warm temperatures on Thursday as well but showers and thunderstorms will move into the state. Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible later in the afternoon and evening. TODAY: Early morning showers come to an end. Look for clouds to decrease in the afternoon. The sun comes out in the afternoon and it will be a fantastic day. Look for high temperatures to climb near 70. We will likely break a new record high temperature. The record is 66 degrees. Look for windy conditions throughout the day. Winds may gust at times near 20 to 30 miles per hour. TONIGHT: Mild and cloudy overnight tonight. Look for temperatures to fall around 50. TOMORROW: Another incredibly warm day with high temperatures climbing into the upper sixties. Sky conditions will be mostly cloudy with some showers and thunderstorms developing later in the afternoon and evening. Some of those thunderstorms could be on the stronger side. We have a level two or slight risk in place from North Central Indiana all along the Ohio River. All severe weather modes are in play. Look for gusty winds, heavy rainfall hail and also the potential for a few tornadoes to develop as well. 7 DAY EXTENDED FORECAST: We’ll look for a partly cloudy sky on Friday. High temperatures will fall into the lower 50s which is still above normal for this time of year. We return back to normal on Saturday with highs right around 40. On Sunday we’ll see cloudy conditions and a few scattered snow showers. High temperatures a couple of degrees below normal near 37.
