The Herreid-Selby Area Wolverines hit the road and headed to Gettysburg to take on the Lady Battlers Tuesday night and kicked off the game with one of their strongest first halves of the season. The Wolverines jumped quickly out to an 18-10 lead, then played an even more dominant second quarter outs coring Gettysburg by 10 and taking a 34-17 lead into the break. The game saw only one lead change throughout as the Wolverines cruised to the 58-43 win staving off a strong fourth quarter from Gettysburg in which the Lady Battlers scored 16 to the Wolverines 11. The Wolverines were led by Jordan Rossow and Taryn Hettick who both finished the game with 15 points while Alyssa Kaup went an impressive 2/3 from three point range and finishing with 10. For Gettysburg, they were led by Finlee Heien who scored 21 of the Lady Battlers points. But the offensive prowess of Herreid-Selby Area would prove to be too much as the Wolverines cruised to their 12th win on the year moving to 12-6 while the Lady Battlers fell to 9-10.
