Watch Live: Plano figure skater Amber Glenn to skate in the women's short program
Feb 16, 2026
Amber Glenn, a figure skater from Plano, made her Olympic debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Feb. 8, finishing third in the women’s free program and helping Team USA take gold in the team event.
The women’s short begins at 11:45 a.m., but Glenn is way down on the start list (28/29), so
it’ll be a while before she takes the ice. Glenn will be in search of a qualifying spot in the women’s single free skate, along with teammates Alyssa Liu and Isabeau Levito.
The 26-year-old will skate on Tuesday to Madonna’s hit “Like a Prayer” and wear a dress inspired by the singer during her short program at the Olympics.

Glenn said that skating to Madonna at the Olympics reflects her evolution as an athlete, embracing a more “fierce” and dynamic style after coming out.
Glenn told NBC 5’s Brian Curtis the program is “a combination of everything I love to do. It’s beautiful and graceful in the beginning and I get to embody such a beautiful character, but it’s also fun at the end.”
Glenn, a three-time national champion, had a shaky Olympic start, telling the press she didn’t know if she “could have felt worse out there” in her free skate.
The 26-year-old competes in the Winter Games as the three-time reigning U.S. figure skating champion. Her latest national title triumph saw her post a record-breaking short program score, as well as personal-best marks in the free skate and the overall score.
You can stream her performance here or watch it on Peacock.
If she qualifies, she’ll compete in the women’s free on Feb. 19 at noon.
