HOLLYWOOD, CA– R. Kelly is currently in solitary confinement at FCI Butner Medium I in North Carolina.  He was placed in the SHU pending an investigation after prison officials discovered a retired warden’s phone number in his notebook. His attorney, Beau Brindley, stated the retired wa rden had previously overseen a mentor program Kelly participated in and gave him the number for guidance.
