OpEd: It’s Time for New Leadership in the 77th District
Feb 16, 2026
The 77th District deserves leadership that moves with purpose, not comfort. For too long, our community has been asked to settle for incremental change while families struggle, small businesses fight to survive, and working people feel unheard. I’m running for State Representative because I believ
e the 77th District is ready to move forward.
Families First
Strong communities are built on strong families. My advocacy for shared parenting reform is rooted in the belief that when both parents are supported in being present, children win. Kentucky made history by prioritizing shared parenting, and I was proud to be part of the movement that helped push that conversation forward. We must continue strengthening policies that support fathers, mothers, and, most importantly, our children. Families should not have to fight the system just to raise their kids.
Economic Opportunity for Everyone
We need to grow our local economy in a way that benefits working families by:
– Supporting skilled trades and workforce development – Encouraging small business growth – Investing in practical education pathways – Ensuring our district attracts opportunity rather than watching it pass us by
We don’t need handouts; we need fair access, smart policy, and leadership that understands the lives of everyday people.
Accountability in Government
Government should work for the people, not protect its own comfort. Transparency, fiscal responsibility, and responsiveness are leadership issues, not partisan ones. The 77th District cannot afford complacency. We need representation that shows up, listens, and takes action.
Law, Order, and Compassion
We can enforce the law while leading with heart. Public safety should go hand-in-hand with supporting second chances, due process, and policies that respect human dignity. Strength without compassion is harsh, and compassion without strength is ineffective. We need both.
A New Generation of Leadership
I’m not running to maintain the status quo. I’m running because I believe our district can rise higher. We deserve leadership that is disciplined, courageous, and bold enough to move this district forward.
The 77th District is strong, capable, and ready. And I’m ready to serve.
