Taylor Swift gives special introduction of the ‘Blade Angels'
Feb 16, 2026
Amber Glenn, Alysa Liu, and Isabeau Levito, also known as the “Blade Angels,” have a cheerleader in pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The “Life of a Showgirl” artist is behind a brand new video highlighting the figure skating women of Team USA, set to take the ice Tuesday. Each will skate in th
e short program, hoping to land in spot in the free skate two days later and a shot at the podium.
Swift says the three women are “American showgirls” in the video from USA Women’s Figure Skating and set to her hit song “Opalite.”
The nearly 2-minute video includes music and narration by Swift, and features vignettes of each skater — all three have a chance of earning a medal by the end of the week.
Glenn’s “superpower is embracing the fight and daring the world to test her self belief,” Swift says.
Liu walked away from the sport when she was 16, Swift points out, and “came back on her own terms. Joy fuels her now.”

Then there’s Levito, whose Italian roots include a grandmother living 13 minutes from the Olympic rink she’ll skate in Tuesday.
The 18-year-old is “destiny personified,” Swift says. “When you can skate like you’re meant to be there, history has a funny way of showing up.”
