HYDEN, Ky. (ABC36 News Now) — Three people were found dead following a residential structure fire late Friday night in Leslie County, according to Kentucky State Police. KSP in Hazard said troopers were notified at approximately 10:53 p.m., of a house fire along Highway 421 in the Hyden communit y. Emergency crews responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. During a subsequent search of the residence, authorities discovered the remains of three individuals inside the home. Preliminary findings indicate the victims are believed to be the residents of the home: Lisa Marcum, 56; Jadeana Begley, 50; and June Nantz, 84, all of Hyden. All three were pronounced dead at the scene by the Leslie County Coroner’s Office. Police said no foul play is suspected at this time. The remains were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsies. The investigation remains ongoing.
