Gilbert, S.C. (WOLO)– One of the Midlands most endearing traditions will not go forward in 2026. Friday officials with the Lexington County Peach Festival announced the festival will not be held this year. In a statement posted on its website, officials with the Gilbert Community Club said the di fficult decision was made after it was determined many of its members will be attending the 250th anniversary celebration of our nation’s founding in Washington, D.C.
