A man died after being stabbed in the face and neck in North Philadelphia on Wednesday and, police said, an individual has been detained in connection to the incident. On Thursday morning, police shared details of a deadly attack that happened along the 1500 block of Oakdale Street in North Phila delphia the day before. According to police, at about 10:16 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a report of an incident on Oakdale Street. When they arrived, they found 59-year-old Richard Warrick, of Philadelphia, after he had been stabbed multiple times in his face and neck. Warrick was taken to a nearby hospital where, officials said, he was pronounced dead at about 10:45 a.m. that morning. However, at the scene, responding officers saw a man running along a nearby street. He was stopped and has been detained by police as investigators work to learn more about this deadly incident, officials said.
