Sixers sign Dalen Terry to twoway deal
Feb 10, 2026
Dalen Terry’s whirlwind week has led him finally to Philadelphia.
The former Chicago Bulls first-round pick signed a two-way deal with the 76ers on Tuesday, adding another ball handler to the Sixers’ thin backcourt.
Terry spent his first three and a half NBA seasons with the Bulls, who selected
him 18th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He played in 204 games for the Bulls, averaging 11.1 minutes, 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. This year, he was right on his career minutes and points average in 34 games for Chicago.
That changed at the trade deadline, when Terry was shipped to the New York Knicks for former 76er Guerschon Yabusele. The Knicks, who are in town Wednesday for his potential 76ers debut, flipped him to New Orleans for Jose Alvarado. The Pelicans waived him.
Terry fills the two-way spot vacated by the conversion of Dominick Barlow to a standard contract last week.
Terry is a 6-6 shooting guard out of Arizona. He’s shot 41 percent from 3-point range this season in 1.4 attempts per game. He shot 35.6 percent from deep in the same number of attempts per night in 73 games last year. He set a career-high 17 points in the Feb. 24 win over the 76ers last year in which the Bulls led by as many as 50 in the second half.
The 76ers seem to have an affinity for that particular 2022 draft: The team took David Roddy No. 23 overall. Its roster currently includes Terry (the 18th pick), MarJon Beauchamp (No. 24, on a two-way) and Patrick Baldwin Jr. (No. 28, on a 10-day).
