KEY TAKEAWAYS: Renovated Club MSY lounge unveiled at Louis Armstrong Airport New design includes 85 seats, local artwork and upgraded finishes Accessible via lounge programs or $50 day pass Part of broader push to enhance passenger experience and tourism appeal   Louis Armstrong New Orl eans International Airport and its concessions partner, Airport Dimensions, have unveiled a newly renovated Club MSY airport lounge, part of ongoing efforts to enhance passenger amenities at the region’s primary commercial airport. The updated lounge, located post-security near the entrance to Concourse A, features a redesigned layout with 85 seats, upgraded finishes and décor intended to reflect New Orleans’ cultural identity while offering travelers a more comfortable preflight environment. Airport officials said the improvements aim to elevate service quality for both visitors and local travelers. Christiaan Bouvard, vice president of design and construction for Airport Dimensions, said the renovation reflects the company’s continued investment at MSY. “This refurbishment represents our ongoing investment at MSY. We’re proud to create a revitalized space that not only honors the character of the city but also delivers an elevated experience for our guests and partners,” Bouvard said. Enhancements include new flooring, updated wall treatments and artwork by New Orleans artist Ayo Scott. The project also added custom millwork and glass-blown light fixtures produced by E Kramer Fine Metal Woodwork. Airport Dimensions operates the shared-use lounge, which is accessible regardless of airline or ticket class. Airport leaders say the improvements align with broader efforts to modernize the passenger experience as traffic grows and expectations shift toward more premium airport amenities. Kevin Dolliole, director of aviation for the airport, credited the partnership with Airport Dimensions for supporting those goals. “As the New Orleans Airport evolves, thoughtful investments like this help ensure we deliver the level of service and sophistication our community and visitors deserve. Thanks to Airport Dimensions, we are continuing to elevate the passenger experience with high-quality amenities that make travel more seamless and enjoyable,” Dolliole said. The lounge incorporates two design themes inspired by local culture: a garden-inspired main seating area referencing the city’s historic neighborhoods and a jazz-themed bar space highlighting New Orleans’ musical heritage. Airport officials said the approach blends hospitality design with regional identity to differentiate the facility from typical airport lounges. The Club MSY operates daily from 4 a.m. to 9 p.m. Travelers can enter up to three hours before departure. Access is available through programs such as Priority Pass and LoungeKey or via day passes priced at $50. Children ages 2 to 17 require a pass when accompanied by an adult, while children younger than 2 enter free. Airport officials said continued upgrades to amenities, concessions and services remain part of MSY’s long-term strategy to attract travelers, support tourism and strengthen the airport’s role as an economic gateway for the New Orleans region. ...read more read less
