With that in mind, Chipotle says it’s investing its money in free food for customers instead of a costly commercial this year. Customers should monitor Chipotle’s Instagram page for details Chipotle is poking fun at AI-generated commercials by highlighting its “real ingredients without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives,” per a press release. During the Super Bowl on Feb. 8, Chipotle’s Instagram account will post a 30-second video titled “The Chipotle Realest 30” on its Reels. The video will go live sometime after halftime and before the third quarter when an AI-generated ad airs. While watching the short video, customers will see a code they can text to 888222 to claim a free regularly priced entrée. Only the first 100,000 customers to text the code will score the freebie. In total, Chipotle plans to give away up to $1 million in free food. The codes are valid in the U.S. through Feb. 12 for customers ages 13 and up. The chain was inspired by customers who have gotten creative over the years and made their own nacho hacks. This marks the first time nachos have been added to the digital menu. “The Game Day Nacho Hack is a shareable, customizable assortment of real ingredients that can be ready for pickup in as little as 10 minutes. Each order is shareable for groups of three to four,” the release reads.
