A rowhome fire in North Philadelphia kept firefighters busy overnight as freezing temperatures settled in across the region. According to fire officials, at about 2:30 a.m., fire crews responded to a fire at a rowhome along the 1800 block of North Taylor Street in North Philadelphia. Crews he re found the home engulfed in heavy fire upon arrival, officials said. However, by 4 a.m., the flames were placed under control, officials said.
