On this Super Bowl eve, San Jose is bustling as thousands of visitors pour into the South Bay before the big game.
With the Super Bowl kickoff at Levi’s Stadium just hours away, football fans arrived at San Jose International thrilled to have a ticket to the big game.
“I’m a season ticke
t holder for 20 years and I won the lottery to be able to get a ticket at face value,” Jason Trichler from Seattle, said.
Hundreds of Seahawks and Patriots fans poured into San Pedro Square for music, dancing and NFL merch.
The Superbowl surge of visitors was good for business too, with bars being packed and local vendors selling everything from t-shirts to honey.
“Business is exceptional, look at all the crowds it’s amazing,” Johnny Clarke of San Jose said.
Even though fans of rival teams were rubbing elbows in the crowd, there was a sense of unity as people left the cold behind to celebrate California style.
“It’s nice really, really, nice. It’s like a market that’s why we came,” Gwen Trotter of Seattle said.
A few blocks away at City Hall, there was a pumped-up street party with DJ Dom Dolla.
San Jose did not miss a beat in the city’s efforts to show Super Bowl fans a good time.
At San Pedro Square, fans can enjoy the official Super Bowl viewing party Sunday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
