Fans coming to Levi’s Stadium for Super Bowl Sunday will see the massive efforts being made to provide security at the event.
At Levi’s, federal Blackhawk helicopters with tactical teams could be seen ready to deploy; about a mile directly over those choppers, a small CHP plane was also seen
circling for hours back-to-back.
F-15 Military Fighter Jets were higher up in the air, armed and ready intercept anything illicit.On the ground, dozens of explosive-sniffing TSA canines walked the venues, as well as an undisclosed number of federal, state, and local officers from more than 35 agencies.
Intelligence agents are on the lookout for signals that anyone’s up to anything. It’s a big job, with the world watching. But Santa Clara Police Chief Cory Morgan says his team is prepared.
“You know, we’re ready. We’ve been doing this for two years now, planning. We’re ready. We have a great plan in place,” he said.
This week, the NFL said no one’s made a credible threat against the big game.Still, all those officers will remain on duty until super bowl sixty is safely over.
