A bomb threat that turned out to be unfounded caused Temple Hospital’s Emergency Department to briefly divert ambulances on Saturday, a hospital spokesperson said in a statement to NBC10. The bomb threat was received at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, forcing the hospital to issue a Code Black and put in place a temporary ambulance divert, the spokesperson said. “There was no interruption to internal patient services and no evacuations were needed,” the statement read, in part. The threat ended up being unfounded after an investigation and the all clear was given at 7:19 p.m. on Saturday evening, the spokesperson said. “An investigation, including a thorough search by the Temple University Police Department (TUPD), was conducted and no threat was found.” No arrests or any other additional information was available at this time. ...read more read less
