McLaren Racing Center opens on Zionsville Road
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Arrow McLaren’s new headquarters at 7615 Zionsville Road in Indianapolis is now officially open.
The NTT IndyCar Series team unveiled its new McLaren Racing Center on Wednesday.
The facility is the former home of And
retti Global’s IndyCar operations. Arrow McLaren acquired the building from Andretti Global in June 2025.
“They got a lot of work done in six months,” Arrow McLaren driver Pato O’Ward said. “We got the keys to it in the summer of ’25, and we’re moving in January ’26. So, seeing how remodeling can take a lot of time, I’m actually shocked that it actually looks like this so quickly. And it’s so well done. I’m proud of everybody. I’m proud of the team.”
The McLaren Racing Center expansion and renovation has increased the space inside the building. It is now roughly 86,000 square feet.
That’s a much larger footprint than Arrow McLaren’s previous shop on 6803 Coffman Road, which was just 33,000 square feet.
“A facility is good for an environment, it’s good for people’s morale,” Arrow McLaren Team Principal and 2013 Indianapolis 500 champion Tony Kanaan said. “We came from a very small place just because that’s what we had.”
The facility will “serve as a welcome home to McLaren Racing’s partner network, offering a space to host meetings, conferences and events,” according to a press release.
“It’s a place that you want to bring your friends here and show it off,” O’Ward said. “You want to bring your family. You want to bring your cousins or whoever it is that might be in town for the Indy 500.”
The McLaren Racing Center shows just how much the team has grown since being created. In fact, there are now 120+ employees who work for the team.
“I think this place really shows that McLaren is here and is here to stay,” O’Ward said. “So, I’m proud to be a papaya member.”
The McLaren Racing Center will also serve as McLaren Racing’s North American headquarters.
“I think it’s to send a message that we’re here,” McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown said. “We want to win. And we’re here for the long term. You don’t make an investment like this if you’re not going to intend to be in IndyCar for a long time.”
The following are notable new features of the facility:
Expanded lobby
Second-floor mezzanine extension
State-of-the-art fitness and recovery center
Added elevator for greater accessiblity
In November, Arrow McLaren driver Christian Lundgaard gave News 8 Sports’ Andrew Chernoff a tour of the McLaren Racing Facility prior during the renovation and construction process.
Arrow McLaren is fielding three full-time entries (Lundgaard, O’Ward and Nolan Siegel) once again in the upcoming IndyCar season.
