Shortterm rental prices rise in South Bay ahead of Super Bowl LX
Feb 04, 2026
Short-term rentals are filling up fast in the Bay Area ahead of Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium.
A rental tracking firm reports in the region that includes Santa Clara, Palo Alto and San Jose, short-term rentals are 88% full.
People are also paying more for those rentals. According to data t
racker AirDNA, overall short-term rental rates in the South Bay area 60% to 65% higher for this coming Saturday than they were the same time last year. The tracker also said people renting out homes and rooms in Santa Clara are seeing the biggest payoff.
While it may be tempting to try to cash in on the big game being played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, local homeowners who spoke to NBC Bay Area said they are going to pass on renting out their property for the Super Bowl largely due to privacy concerns.
However, some people said they are planning to rent parking spaces on their property on game day in hopes of getting anywhere from $50 to $300 a spot.
Meanwhile, there were still room rentals available online as of Wednesday starting about $250 a night. High end properties are currently asking for $500,000 to those looking to spend a few nights in the region.
