A man on a motorcycle was killed on Tuesday after a crash involving two other cars, according to the Delaware State Police. The crash happened on Feb. 3 just before 8:20 p.m. on South Maryland Avenue near Reamer Avenue in Wilmington, police said. Investigators said that a Toyota Tacoma was s topped while waiting to turn left onto Reamer Avenue from the eastbound left lane of South Maryland Avenue while a Dodge Ram was stopped on the southbound side of Reamer Avenue. Then, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle rode up to the intersection at a high rate of speed in the left lane of the westbound sided of South Maryland Avenue approaching Reamer Avenue, officials said. The motorcycle crashed into the Toyota as it was turning left causing the Toyota to spin and hit the front end of the Dodge, officials reported. The motorcycle rider, 29, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died, police said. The drivers of the Toyota and Dodge said that they were not hurt in the crash.
