(KRON) -- A suspect has been arrested in a fatal hit-and-run last month that left a 17-year-old girl lying dead on the side of the road. The Antioch Police Department announced on Tuesday that it had arrested 26-year-old Jamir Wilson in connection to the case. Antioch PD executed search warrants at residences in Pittsburg and Antioch as part of the investigation. Police said Wilson was arrested without incident on suspicion of hit-and-run causing death. The victim, Jean Flores, was found around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23 in the area of L Street between West 18th Street and West 10th Street. Flores was found near Antioch High School, but was not a student there, according to officials. An autopsy determined that she was hit by a vehicle. Police said that despite an arrest being made, the investigation remains ongoing. The case is expected to be filed with the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office later this week.
