A former Celina ISD middle school football coach was indicted last week by a Collin County grand jury on four charges related to sexual assault allegations. Caleb Elliott, 26, was indicted Thursday on charges of promotion of child pornography, invasive visual recording in a bathroom/dressing room and two counts of sexual performance of a child, according to state records. The former Moore Middle School teacher and coach was first taken into custody on Oct. 3, 2025, after Celina Police announced he was charged with possession of child pornography. Elliott was arrested for a second time in November 2025 on charges of possession of child pornography as well as sexual performance of a child, a second-degree felony. In November 2025, Elliott was indicted on federal charges related to the allegations that he secretly recorded young boys who were undressed in the school’s locker room. Celina Police Chief John Cullison said the department concluded its initial criminal investigation into Elliott on Nov. 18, but that it would investigate any new information brought forward. Three days later, on Nov. 21, new evidence was obtained in the investigation, and Elliott was arraigned on the additional charge of felony sexual performance of a child. Several Celina ISD families came forward in December and filed civil lawsuits against Elliott and Celina ISD, seeking a jury trial and over $1 million in damages. Celina ISD also commissioned a third-party investigation into Elliot and his time in the district. As the allegations circulated in the community, parents called for Celina’s superintendent and school board to step down. Elliott’s father, former athletic director and head football coach Bill Elliott, and former principal Allison Ginn stepped down from their roles amid the investigations.
