A former Chicago Public Schools teacher was sentenced to five years in prison after he pleaded guilty to exposing himself to young girls last year.Elliott Nott, 51, pleaded guilty to two felony counts of child exploitation last week. In October 2024, Chicago police released surveillance footage of N ott after he “performed an indecent act” in front of children a few days earlier. Nott undid his zipper and exposed himself to two girls, ages 7 and 9, in the 6200 block of North Maplewood Avenue, prosecutors said.Around the same time last fall, a 10-year-old girl and a 5-year-old girl saw him with a sweatshirt around his waist and his private parts exposed in the 6500 block of North Richmond Avenue, prosecutors said.Judge Domenica Stephenson sentenced Nott to concurrent five-year terms after his plea, but the sentence will be cut in half to follow state law. His sentence will be further reduced by 475 days to account for the time Nott spent in jail awaiting trial plus 163 days for "program credit" he earned while in custody, court records show.
