Feb 02, 2026
Monday morning, the man suspected in the kidnapping and murder of Kada Scott, a 23-year-old woman who went missing from her work at a Northeast Philadelphia nursing home in October of last year, is set to appear before a judge who will determine if the case will head to trial.
Keon King, 21, of
Dover, Delaware, is set to appear in court to face charged of kidnapping, arson, murder and related offenses after Scott was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head after her remains were discovered in a shallow grave in a wooded area near Ada H. Lewis Middle School in Philadelphia’s East Germantown neighborhood.
At 9 a.m. on Monday, the hearing is set to take place to determine if there is enough evidence in King’s case for it to head to trial.
King was apprehended after Scott disappeared from her place of work on Oct. 4, 2025, shortly after texting the words “kidnap me again,” to King, officials have said.
