MobridgePollock falls short in rematch to Dell Rapids

MADISON, S.D. – The Mobridge-Pollock Tigers fell short in a regular season rematch to Dell Rapids 72-62. This game was close throughout, but Dell Rapids led from beginning to end as the Tigers drop to 6-5 on the season.
There were a lot of strong performances in this game from both sides. Jesse Sc
hneider, Kale Knudson and Shooter Frederick all had good games on offense for Mobridge-Pollock, but Dell Rapids was able to outpace the Tigers in the win. For the Quarriers, Karson Paye played a big role facilitating and Jackson Peppel really stepped up on both sides of the ball, but leading the team on offense and keeping momentum on his sideline was our Riverside Home Furnishing Player of the Game Lincoln Anderson.
This game got started with an early lead for Dell Rapids before both teams started trading points back and forth. Towards the middle of the first quarter Mobridge-Pollock tied the game up at 12 before Lincoln Anderson hit two big threes in two straight possessions to help expand the Quarrier lead to 23-14 at the end of the first quarter. Throughout the rest of the game it was continuously back and forth with no team making up much ground in either direction. The Tigers continued to look strong on offense, but they were matched by a Dell Rapids offensive attack that could not be stopped as the Quarriers earned the 72-62 win.
In their next time out Mobridge-Pollock will be back home to take on Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Tuesday, February 3 with an estimated tipoff scheduled around 6:30 p.m.
