Broadway Dallas’ 2026-2027 season is all about music and magic.  The season begins in September 2026 with the charming Rodgers and Hammerstein classic, The Sound of Music and will conclude in June 2027 with the modern magic of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. “We are beyond thrilled with t he newly announced 2026/2027 Broadway Series coming to Dallas,” says Ken Novice, President and CEO of Broadway Dallas. “This lineup truly has something for everyone. From bold, brand-new productions that spark the imagination to timeless classics that remind us why we fell in love with theater, we’re honored to present a season that celebrates the very best of Broadway and creates unforgettable moments right here in our city.” Season tickets are available now and seven-show packages start at $270. THE SOUND OF MUSIC | Sept. 8 to 20 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park Directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien and featuring beloved songs like “Do-Re-Mi,” “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and “Edelweiss,” The Sound of Music is the iconic tale of a spirited nun who chooses not to live behind closed doors – and, by following her heart, learns to climb every mountain. The Sound of Music features music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, and book by Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, suggested by The Trapp Family Singers by Maria Augusta Trapp. The 1965 Oscar-winning film recently celebrated its 60th anniversary and continues to be one of the most successful movie musicals of all time. BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB | Nov. 3 to 15 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park Step into the heart of Cuba, beyond the glitz of the Tropicana, to a place where blazing trumpets and sizzling guitars set the dance floor on fire. Here, the real sound of Havana is born – and one woman discovers the music that will change her life forever. Inspired by true events, the five-time Tony Award-winning musical Buena Vista Social Club brings the Grammy Award-winning album to thrilling life – and tells the story of the legends who lived it. A world-class band joins a sensational cast of musicians, actors, and dancers from across the globe for an authentic experience unlike any you’ve seen or heard before. DR. SEUSS’ HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS! THE MUSICAL | Nov. 25 to 29 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park (Season option) Dr. Suess’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical features the hit songs “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and “Welcome Christmas” (written by Albert Hague and Dr. Seuss) from the original animated series. Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the holiday-loving Whos. Magnificent sets (John Lee Beatty) and costumes (Robert Morgan) inspired by Dr. Seuss’ original illustrations help transport audiences to the whimsical world of Whoville, while the Music and Book of Mel Marvin and Timothy Mason breathe new life into this timeless story of the true meaning of Christmas. The 2026 production is directed by Matt August and co-directed and choreographed by Bob Richard, based on the original choreography by John DeLuca and originally created by four-time Tony Award-winning director, Jack O’Brien. This production features Maria Björnson’s brilliant original design and based on the celebrated direction of Harold Prince, with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne. The Phantom of the Opera tells the tale of a disfigured musical genius known only as ‘The Phantom’ who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerized by the talents and beauty of a young soprano, Christine, the Phantom lures her as his protégé and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine’s love for Raoul, the Phantom’s obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness, and passions collide. THE NOTEBOOK | Jan. 12 to 24, 2027 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Winspear Opera House Based on the best-selling novel that inspired the iconic film, The Notebook tells the story of Allie and Noah, both from different worlds, who share a lifetime of love despite the forces that threaten to pull them apart. The Notebook is a deeply moving portrait of the enduring power of love. The Notebook is directed by Michael Greif and Schele Williams and features music and lyrics by multi-platinum singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, book by Bekah Brunstetter, and choreography by Katie Spelman.  HELL’S KITCHEN | Feb. 3 to 14, 2027 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park Hell’s Kitchen is from Grammy Award-winning Alicia Keys and is inspired by her life, her music and her community. The story begins with Ali, a 17-year-old girl full of fire, searching for freedom, passion, and her place in the world. Along the way, you’ll meet the musical mentor who changes her life, her dynamic family, and the neighborhood that helps her grow. Relatable, raw, and refreshingly fun, Hell’s Kitchen is a celebration of finding yourself, your purpose, and the people who lift you up. This show is directed by four-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif with choreography by four-time Tony Award nominee Camille A. Brown, a book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Kristoffer Diaz, and the music of Alicia Keys.  HADESTOWN | March 30 to April 4, 2027 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Winspear Opera House (Season option). Fromsinger-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell and original director Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown intertwines two mythic tales — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites you on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love. Performed by a vibrant ensemble of actors, dancers and singers, Hadestown is a haunting and hopeful theatrical experience that grabs you and never lets go.  Rudy Foster (Hermes) and the Hadestown North American Touring Company, 2025. WATER FOR ELEPHANTS | April 13 to 25, 2027 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park After losing what matters most, a young man jumps a moving train, unsure of where the road will take him and finds a new home with the remarkable crew of a traveling circus, and a life—and love—beyond his wildest dreams. Seen through the eyes of his older self, his adventure becomes a poignant reminder that if you choose the ride, life can begin again at any age. Tony Award-nominated director Jessica Stone’s production features a book by three-time Tony nominee Rick Elice, adapted from Sara Gruen’s novel, and a soaring score by the acclaimed PigPen Theatre Co. DEATH BECOMES HER | May 11 to 23, 2027 Presented by Broadway Dallas at the Music Hall at Fair Park Some people will do anything to look eternally fabulous. But famous actress Madeline Ashton and her best frenemy Helen Sharp are about to go too far…thanks to a mysterious woman named Viola Van Horn and a secret potion that’s to die for. Death Becomes Her is the Tony Award-winning, drop-dead hilarious new musical comedy based on the classic 1992 film, with direction and choreography by Tony winner Christopher Gattelli.
