(KRON) -- A 45-year-old woman who hosted drug-fueled parties for minors in her Santa Rosa home and groomed victims was sentenced to serve decades in prison, prosecutors announced Friday.
Christina Renee Whisman was sentenced Thursday by Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Paige Hein to serve 36 year
s in state prison.
Whisman previously pleaded no contest to engaging in lewd conduct with a victim under the age of 14, providing cocaine to a minor, and child molestation.
District Attorney Carla Rodriguez said, "This defendant, in a calculated manner, took advantage of her position of trust and authority to manipulate and violate a young child. This was textbookgrooming, over years, to establish the trust of children, with the only goal of using them in theworst way imaginable."
The victim was a girl who spent time in Whisman's home and was not related her, The Press Democrat reported.
Police began investigating the suspected child molester after a mandated reporter told detectives about "a woman in Santa Rosa who had been hosting parties at her home for years that involved alcohol, drugs, and underaged children," the district attorney's office wrote.

One of the children told investigators about the abuse, and detectives arrested Whisman in December of 2024. Prosecutors said Whisman admitted to her crimes when she was confronted.
At Thursday's sentencing, Judge Hein described Whisman’s crimes as "extremely hurtful and traumatic."
The DA's office wrote, "Judge Hein agreed that the lengthy prison sentence was in the interest of justice and ordered Whisman to serve the aggravated term of ten years for each of the three counts of child molestation, with an additional six years for providing cocaine to minors."
She will be required to register as a child sex offender for life.
