BATON ROUGE mdash; College sports' new NIL governing body has launched an investigation into LSU for a potential rules violation, according to a report by The Athletic.nbsp;The New York Times subsidiary reported that the College Sports Commission's head of investigations emailed LSU Athletic Direct or Verge Ausberry to inform him that LSU is being investigated for a potential failure to report one or more third-party NIL deals.By law, NCAA Division I schools are required to report all third-party name, image and likeness deals to the CSC. That requirement came as part of last year's landmark House Settlement.nbsp;The CSC reportedly said it has also launched investigations into other schools, but did not disclose which.nbsp;According to The Advocate, the LSU investigation is not related to the school's football program.nbsp;Permalink| Comments ...read more read less
