Jan 30, 2026
Calling all beer lovers! Max’s Taphouse will host its 22nd Annual Belgian Beer Festival from Friday, Feb. 13 through Monday, Feb. 16 in Fells Point.
The festival begins each day at 11 a.m. at Max’s Taphouse featuring more than 100 Belgian beers on draft, along with a selection of special
ty Belgian bottles, many of them rarely available in the United States. There will also be a Belgian-inspired food menu, including Belgian Frites.
Max’s Taphouse is celebrating 40 years as a family-owned Baltimore institution, and this year’s festival highlights international brewing tradition and local collaborations it inspires.

A representative from the Embassy of Belgium will be on hand to lead the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Friday morning to open the festival.
Admission to the festival is free, but attendees must be 21 or older. There were tickets available for early admission to the festival for Friday and Saturday beginning at 10 a.m., guaranteeing seating at the main bar and early access to limited beer offerings. However, those early admission tickets for Friday are sold out, and a limited number remain for Saturday. Cost for early admission tickets is $25.
Max’s Taphouse has partnered with The William Fell Inn to offer discounted hotel accommodations during the festival. Booking information is available through the event listing on Max’s Taphouse’s event Facebook page.
Beer aficionados have the chance to extend the weekend even earlier, as Max’s Taphouse is soft-launching the festival with Thirst Trapp Thursday on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m. This event is an all-Maryland Belgian-style beer takeover in partnership with the Brewers Association of Maryland.
Thirst Trapp Thursday will feature 15 Belgian-inspired beers brewed by Maryland breweries. They will be available throughout the festival while supplies last. Styles will include saisons, blondes, dubbles, tripels and quadrupels. A draft list is available on the Facebook event page.
That evening, Max’s will also release the new Belgian Belle, a blonde ale brewed by the taphouse in collaboration with Brewer’s Haven (Monument City Brewing x Key Brewing) and Bear Branch Malt.
Max’s Taphouse is located at 737 S. Broadway, Baltimore, MD.
