Marcus’ 4 a.m. Friday forecast INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Significant cold continues through the start of the weekend. Today: We’re starting off with another morning with temperatures around or below 0°. Like yesterday, the winds are relatively calm. This will keep our wind chill in chec k for much of the day today. We’ll start the day off with some sunshine, but then look to clouds to increase as we head later on in the afternoon. Temperatures will really struggle again today, but the high is only in the mid and upper teens.  Some spotty flurries developed later this afternoon and tonight, mainly across northern counties of the state. This will be due to some lake-effect snow bands developing, some of which could sneak down into northern portions of Central Indiana at times. Tonight: Very cold temperature tonight with lows near 0°; windshields could fall to as low as 10 below, but again, like the last couple of mornings, wind should be relatively light. Saturday: Another bitter blast of cold air rolls in on Saturday in the wake of a massive East Coast storm. This will also bring some occasional white snow showers or flurries across Central Indiana coming off Lake Michigan. Little to no accumulation is expected across Central Indiana with any snow on Saturday. That will be a different story up in Northwestern Indiana, where counties around Lake Michigan are under winter storm warnings, and several inches of snow will fall from Friday into Saturday. 7 day forecast: Temperatures will rebound slightly as we go into Sunday in several days next week. While we won’t get close to average temperatures for this time of year, we could knock on the door of freezing temperatures starting Tuesday. More snow? We are also starting to get increasing confidence in another winter system by midweek that could bring another round of accumulating snow.
