Multiple Marin County high schools evacuated due to ‘threat’

(KRON) — Three public high schools in Larkspur were evacuated Thursday morning due to an unspecified “threat,” the Tamalpais Union High School District announced on its website.
The schools affected are Redwood High School on Doherty Drive, San Andreas high school on William Avenue and Tamis

“Redwood, San Andreas and Tamiscal high schools have been evacuated due to safety concern[s],” a message on the Tamalpais Union High School District website reads. “All athletic events and the open house scheduled at Redwood for today will be postponed.”
Students at the high schools have been asked to leave the property and go home. The Central Marin Police Authority told KRON4 News that the schools were evacuated “out of an abundance of caution.”
“At approximately 8 a.m. this morning, staff at Redwood High School received a voicemail indicating a possible threat to the campus,” Central Marin Police Authority said. “District staff immediately contacted the Central Marin Police and out of an abundance of caution for the students and staff the decision was made to cancel school and close the campus. All students are being sent home at this time. Please do not come to the school and avoid the area for the time being.”
