Infiniti proves they can successfully stay in the luxury space and still flex some muscle in the large SUV space with the new 2026 Infiniti QX80 Sport. Whether it’s driving family around, effortlessly taking over a car crawling on the highway, or going on a special date pulling up to an upscale r estaurant, this automobile fits the bill.  For 2026, QX80 introduces its first-ever SPORT grade—an evolution of INFINITI’s Artistry in Motion design philosophy. With darkened exterior accents and performance-inspired design details, SPORT offers a bold new expression of QX80’s full-size luxury SUV presence. My review version was elegantly dressed in a sleek two-tone “Radiant White” and “Black Obsidian” exterior complemented by a lot of head-turning appointments. From the black grille to the limited 22-inch alloy wheels, black roof rails, and dark rear bumper protector courtesy of the optional Sport exterior package, the framework is welcomely aggressive, yet elegant at the same time. The slanted LED headlights complete with the illuminated three-dimensional badge make the futuristic visuals even more pronounced. Before entering, the welcoming “Light Path” will always remind passengers what they are entering: an opulent Infiniti vessel. Inside, the cabin brings theater vibes thanks to the dusk blue and graphite interior features semi-aniline leather, open-pore ash wood trim, and a panoramic illuminated headliner which makes especially night excursions even more enhanced. Personalized ambient lighting with 64 colors, and radiant kick plates also treat the eyes to memorable visuals.  All-new 2026 INFINITI QX80 reimagines the luxury SUV. Cutting-edge technology, precisely tailored design and expert craftsmanship elevate INFINITI’s flagship. Riding in comfort remains a prerogative across all three rows. Both front and second-row seats are heated, ventilated, and richly padded, with massaging front seats, and power-adjustable captain’s chairs in the second row. A power-folding third row ensures flexibility for cargo to make household trips and long excursions more customized. Under the hood, the QX80 is powered by a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that flexes an impressive 450 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft of torque. A smooth-shifting, nine-speed automatic transmission is operated with push-button gear shifts, while Infiniti’s All-Mode 4WD keeps this SUV responsive and agile in virtually any driving conditions. To boost driver confidence, the electronic air suspension and dynamic digital suspension do not disappoint, while an 8,500-pound towing capacity with an integrated Class IV hitch provides more travel options. Dual 14.3-inch monolith displays; a 9-inch lower touchscreen with haptic feedback; Google built-in; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto; 5G Wi-Fi; and an ear-blessing 24-speaker Klipsch premium audio system surrounds the cockpit with optimal connectivity and sound. The “Invisible Hood View” and 3D Around View Monitor will cover every angle with optimal visibility. It’s amazing how far the auto industry has come to make the driving experience so much more immersive.  For 2026, QX80 introduces its first-ever SPORT grade—an evolution of INFINITI’s Artistry in Motion design philosophy. Ultimately, the Sport trim of the opulent QX80 leaves virtually nothing to be desired for those demanding a first-class experience and pampering for up to eight passengers, while having no hesitation to take on whatever Mother Nature has in store.  Fuel Economy: 16 city/19 highway/17 combined.  Price: $108,160 fully equipped with optional packages.  For more information, visit Infinitiusa.com.
