.................... RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 56-year-old woman was shot and killed in Richmond's East End late Sunday evening. Just after 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 1500 block of North 21st Street for a report of a person shot. When officers arrived, they found 56-year-old Florence McCrea, of Richmond, down and unresponsive inside an apartment. According to police, she had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives with the Richmond Police Department Major Crimes unit responded and interviewed individuals at the apartment building for information, as police continue to investigate.
