Is another snowstorm hitting NYC next weekend? What longrange models are saying
Jan 26, 2026
On the heels of the biggest snowfall the city has seen in five years, we’re already on the lookout for another storm that could impact us next weekend.
Both the European and American long-range forecast models are picking up on a coastal low to develop off the Carolina coast on Saturday and
clip the northeast Sunday.
As with every winter storm impacting the Northeast, the track of the potential storm means everything.
Close to the coast, it could mean a mix of rain and snow. Far, far from the coast may mean we miss it entirely. But if it hits the perfect track, it could mean another round of big snow for us.
While it’s way too early to make any definitive predictions on what will happen, it’s definitely on our radar. Stay with Storm Team 4 for updates on the weekend forecast and continuing coverage of the extreme cold.
