A driver from Riverside was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and DUI in Anaheim early Sunday, Jan. 25, after police say he ran a red light, collided with another car and a pregnant passenger in that car died. Daniel Ramos, 24, was booked into the Anaheim Detention Center, police said in a news release. “Due to the victim being pregnant, additional charges may be considered pending the outcome of the investigation,” Sgt. Eric Anderson wrote in the release. Those charges would be up to the District Attorney’s Office to file. The crash was reported at 12:09 a.m. at North Anaheim Boulevard and the 91 Freeway frontage road. Preliminary indications are that Ramos was driving a dark-colored Lexus sedan east on the frontage road when he ran a red light and struck a light-colored Toyota sedan headed south on North Anaheim, Anderson said.
