Police report rise in domestic disturbances during storm PRINCETON, Ind. (WISH) — The snow has most people staying inside, which can cause issues at home. Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven said in a Sunday social media post that, despite the calls for vehicle crashes and slide-offs, it’ s also responded to a high number of domestic disturbances. Vanover said in the post, “You know, being inside confined like this is very trying for people’s mental health, and we’ve had a few disturbance calls last night, just because people weren’t used to being around each other that much. It’s hard in a situation like this. So, I would encourage you, whenever tempers start to flare, go to separate rooms, and just cool off.” Anyone who feels like he or she is in immediate danger or a life-threatening situation should call 911.
